About

Samantha Bernstein Gordon, MS, RD

Samantha Bernstein Gordon, MS, RD, is a NYC-based registered dietitian.  Prior to becoming a dietitian, Samantha worked in finance for two years. The long hours and high-stress environment took its toll on her health. At the same time, she discovered she had food allergies. Researching her allergies for herself became her passion, and maintaining optimal nutrition while avoiding certain foods became her priority.  She decided she wanted to help others do the same!

Samantha graduated from the University of Michigan. She completed her post-graduate degree at New York University, and was accepted into their Dietetic Internship program.  Samantha did her dietetic internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC, where she gained invaluable experience working with different patient populations with a variety of medical conditions including diabetes, GI disorders, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.  Samantha also spent time at the Jaffe Food Allergy Institute, assisting in determining patients' specific nutritional needs and creating plans to help them meet those needs.

Samantha has worked with a number of organizations and in private practice where she wrote for various websites including modernmom.com and fitbie.com as well as in schools providing nutrition education and cooking demonstrations to young children.

Samantha completed her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition at New York University in May of 2015. She  is also a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Greater New York Dietetics Association, and a member of the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group. She is currently a contributing Resident mom on skinnymom.com, and a health expert on www.furtherfood.com.

Samantha believes in a whole-lifestyle and balanced approach to nutrition and health. She works with her clients to make sure their nutrition plans fit their life through practical and maintainable changes.

Samantha lives in New York City with her husband and son.
